Ginger Berry Power Smoothie

To be honest, this smoothie was accidentally made. One night I didn’t want to make dinner, and I had all of these ingredients on hand so I just started to throw them into a blender. I tasted it, and it was DELICIOUS!! I decided I had to share it with the world. So, you’re welcome.

This smoothie is a power smoothie because it is full of NATURAL protein and NATURAL carbohydrates. 100% real food and no artificial ingredients. No bad protein powders here! I use hemp seeds and Further Food collagen powder for this smoothie. You can get a 10% discount on Further Food when using the code REBEKAH10. Score!  I am dairy intolerant so I cannot use milk based protein powders (and most are full of additives and sugar anyways).

Collagen peptides provide glycine and proline, which are essential to skin and joint health (1). Collagen is a primary structural component to skin and providing it in your diet ensures that your body has enough of it! Research has shown that athletes who took hydrolyzed collagen had less joint pain and better performance. It can also help to reduce inflammation!

Ginger can help to relieve muscle pain and soreness. Needless to say, this smoothie is a great option for a refreshing treat after a workout!

I hope you enjoy this recipe! Please let me know if you give it a try!
